چکیده

Different approaches to enhance healing of hard or soft tissues include the use cytokines and growth factors modify cellular behaviour. Numerous are found in autologous blood concentrates - platelet-rich plasma (PRP) fibrin (PRF). Enamel matrix derivative (EMD) may improve tissue via amelogenins. Bilayered collagen (CM) is used for augmentation. The aim present study was assess potential benefits PRP, PRF EMD combination with bilayered CM alone treatment oral mucosal defects rabbits. Twenty-seven New Zealand white rabbits were included this randomized controlled trial. Artificial treated one these five approaches: PRP+CM, PRF+CM, EMD+CM, alone, left untreated as a negative control CO. animals euthanized 1 day, 7 days, 28 days after surgery necropsies harvested. Histological molecular biological analyses performed. All healed by day 28. No differences between CO groups recorded at any time point. Slower angiogenesis higher presence inflammatory infiltrate observed EMD+CM group surgery. Molecular did not reveal statistically significant changes. In conclusion, no improvement wounds covered membrane PRF, observed, compared controls.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin Promotes an Accelerated Healing of Achilles Tendon When Compared to Platelet-Rich Plasma in Rat

BACKGROUND Autologous platelet concentrate has been used to improve the function and regeneration of injured tissues. Tendinopathies are common in clinical practice, although long-term treatment is required. On the basis of lead time, we compared the effect of using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in repairing rat Achilles tendon. METHODS The effectiveness of usi...
